The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is one of the most competitive examinations in India. The exams are conducted for the posts of Clerk cadre, Probationary officers, Specialist officers, and Regional Rural Bank cadre.

 

IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) was incorporated as a consequence of the Nationalisation of 14 major Banks in 1969. IBPS provides its services to banks in the public and private sectors, foreign banks and regional rural banks. It also offers services to other financial institutions, including co-operative banks, academic institutions, insurance companies, and both private and state-owned firms.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the recruitment body started in 1975 with an aim to encourage the recruitment and placement of young graduates in public sector banks (except SBI) in India. Aspirants who are eligible and aspires to join any of the Participating Organisations (listed below) as a Probationary Officer/Management Trainee or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT)
